This is a Chinese reflexology foot massage, focusing on the reflex zones, meridians, and acupressure points of the feet.

The massage is preceded by a foot bath. The feet of the person being massaged are immersed in warm water with dissolved lavender (or another) salt.

During the foot bath, the therapist introduces the person to the history and philosophy of An Mo, the energy of Chi, and the elements of traditional Chinese medicine. This mutual tuning enhances the effects of the massage.
